Stand-up pouch dieline template
Stand-up pouches (doypacks) are the default pack for coffee, snacks, pet treats and powders because they ship flat and stand on shelf. The dieline has a front panel, back panel and bottom gusset, plus seal zones and a zipper strip you should not print text on. Design onto it in Packaroo.

How to read this dieline
Every Packaroo dieline uses the same four line types.
The outside edge of the pack. Anything past this line is trimmed off.
Where the board or film folds. Keep text and logos about 3 mm away so they do not land on a crease.
Extend background colours and images to this line so no white edge shows if the cut shifts.
Keep text, barcodes and logos inside this line, usually 3 to 5 mm inside the cut.
Before you design
Seal zones
A heat seal runs around the edges and across the top, typically 5 to 10 mm wide. Colour can run through the seal, but text there will be crushed and hard to read.
Zipper
The reclosable zip sits in a band near the top, below the tear notch. Nothing printed in that band will show clearly.
Gusset
The bottom gusset is printed on the front and back sheets and only partly visible when the pouch stands. Use it for a solid colour or a pattern, not for text.
Design it in 3D instead
In Packaroo you drop your artwork onto this dieline, see it as a 3D pack you can spin, check bleed and safe area, then export a spec pack your supplier can quote from. Start on the free plan, then export a spec pack for A$15, or subscribe if you export often.
Try it freeFrequently asked questions
What is a doypack?
Another name for a stand-up pouch. The terms are interchangeable.
Can I print on the gusset?
Yes, but keep it to colour or pattern. The gusset folds under when the pouch stands, so text is hidden or distorted.
Where does the zipper go?
In a band below the top seal and tear notch. Keep text out of that band.
Do pouches need a bleed?
Yes. Extend artwork past the cut line, usually by 3 mm, so no unprinted film shows at the edges. Your converter will confirm the exact amount.
Can I design on this template?
Yes. Open it in Packaroo, drop in your artwork and see it in 3D on the free plan. A spec pack export for your supplier is A$15.
