How to connect

Two minutes, once. You need a Packaroo account first: sign up free at app.packaroo.design.

  1. Open Claude on the web or in the desktop app, and go to Settings, then Connectors.
  2. Press Add custom connector. On some versions this sits under “Browse connectors”.
  3. Name it Packaroo and paste this address:
    Connector addresshttps://app.packaroo.design/api/mcp
  4. Press Connect, and sign in to Packaroo if you are asked.Sign-in happens on app.packaroo.design, so you know it is us.
  5. Press Allow on the Packaroo page that appears. It tells you exactly what the connection covers.
That is it. Start a new chat and ask for packaging. You will not need to do any of this again, and you can disconnect whenever you like from Packaroo, under Settings, Connected apps.

Try these first

Type it the way you would say it. These are real examples.

What size should my artwork be for a 12oz paper cup?

The pixel and millimetre size, how much gets trimmed off the edges, and which parts end up hidden once the cup is formed.

Show me a 12oz paper cup in 3D.

Packaroo’s own 3D preview appears in the conversation. Spin it, drop an image onto it, change the size, and save it to your dashboard from there.

Is this 1500 x 1500 image big enough for a 16oz cup?

What it will print like at that size, and what size it needs to be instead.

Write me a prompt for coffee bag artwork that fits a 250g pouch.

A prompt with the right shape, minimum size and keep-out areas built in, so the image comes back usable the first time.

Send me the template for a medium paper bag.

A file at true size with the cut line, the bleed, the safe area and the folds on separate layers. Opens in Illustrator, Affinity, Figma or Inkscape.

Save that on a 300 x 200 x 100 mm mailer box.

A real project on your Packaroo dashboard with the artwork already on it, ready to open and finish in the editor.

Are the colours in this logo on brand? Fix the ones that are not.

It reads the colours out of a vector logo, says which are off brand, and corrects them.

Using your own artwork

Claude cannot hand your image file to Packaroo directly, so there are two ways in. Both are one step.

In the 3D preview

Ask to see the pack in 3D, then drag your file onto the panel. It uploads, appears on the pack, and Save puts it on your dashboard.

Through an upload link

Ask to put your file on a product and you get one link. Open it, choose the file, and the page uploads it, saves the design and shows an Open button.

Your file is never sent to an image generator or any other service to get a web address for it. Accepted: PNG, JPEG, WebP and GIF, up to 50MB.

What the connection allows

It can

  • Read packaging sizes, templates and specs
  • Copy artwork you point it at into your Packaroo storage
  • Save new designs to your dashboard
  • List your own projects and artwork

It cannot

  • Change or delete a project you already have
  • See anybody else’s account
  • Order anything or spend money
  • Export a Spec Pack

Claude asks before each action the first time. To disconnect, open Packaroo, then Settings, Connected apps, and press Disconnect. It stops working immediately.

Questions

Does it cost anything?

No. The connector is free with a Packaroo account. Spec Packs are unchanged and are exported from the editor.

Do I need to be a designer?

No. Asking for a size or a template is useful on its own, and a 3D preview plus a saved design is often all you need before handing it to one.

Can my whole team use it?

Yes. Each person connects with their own Packaroo account and sees only their own projects.

Does Packaroo read my chats?

No. It receives only what a tool is asked to do, such as a product, a size or an artwork address.

Can it place an order?

Not yet. It makes the design, and you take it from your dashboard.

Does it work in ChatGPT?

Yes, with developer mode on. Same address, same account. See Packaroo in ChatGPT.

If something is not right

It says it is not connected, or asks me to sign in again

Open app.packaroo.design and sign in there, then remove and re-add the connector.

It will not load my artwork, and mentions where artwork can come from

It loads images only from Packaroo itself or from Higgsfield. For anything else, including a file on your computer, ask for an upload link.

It keeps asking permission for every step

That is the chat app, not Packaroo. Choose “Always allow” for the Packaroo tools.

A design link opens a blank product

The link was probably cut short when it was copied. Ask for it again and copy the whole address.

Ask for your packaging.
