Packaroo in Claude Code

Packaging from the terminal

Packaroo runs as a remote MCP server, so Claude Code can use it like any other tool. Add it with one command, then ask for sizes, templates and designs saved straight to your Packaroo dashboard. Free with your Packaroo account.

How to connect

One command, then a one-time sign-in in your browser.

  1. Add Packaroo with one command:
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user packaroo https://app.packaroo.design/api/mcp
  2. Run /mcp and choose packaroo.
  3. Press Authenticate. Your browser opens to sign in and allow.
  4. Back in the terminal, it reconnects on its own. Ask for packaging the same way.
A file on your computer: “upload ./logo.png to Packaroo and put it on a 330ml can”. Where a chat app would show the 3D preview, the reply gives you a link that opens the design in Packaroo.

What the connection allows

It can

  • Read packaging sizes, templates and specs
  • Copy artwork you point it at into your Packaroo storage
  • Save new designs to your dashboard
  • List your own projects and artwork

It cannot

  • Change or delete a project you already have
  • See anybody else’s account
  • Order anything or spend money
  • Export a Spec Pack

Claude Code asks before each action the first time. To disconnect, open Packaroo, then Settings, Connected apps, and press Disconnect. It stops working immediately.

Questions

Does it cost anything?

No. The connector is free with a Packaroo account. Spec Packs are unchanged and are exported from the editor.

Do I need to be a designer?

No. Asking for a size or a template is useful on its own, and a 3D preview plus a saved design is often all you need before handing it to one.

Can my whole team use it?

Yes. Each person connects with their own Packaroo account and sees only their own projects.

Does Packaroo read my chats?

No. It receives only what a tool is asked to do, such as a product, a size or an artwork address.

Can it place an order?

Not yet. It makes the design, and you take it from your dashboard.

What is MCP?

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It is the open standard that lets AI assistants connect to other apps, and it is what the Packaroo connector is built on. The same server works in Claude, ChatGPT and Claude Code.

Does it work in Claude and ChatGPT too?

Yes. Same address, same account. See Packaroo in Claude and Packaroo in ChatGPT.
