Paper tube template

Paper tubes (cardboard cylinders with a lid) are used for tea, candles, cosmetics and premium gifting. The printed element is a wrap label, so the template is a rectangle with a seam, plus a separate lid wrap. Design it in Packaroo and see the tube in 3D.

How to read this dieline

Every Packaroo dieline uses the same four line types.

Cut line

The outside edge of the pack. Anything past this line is trimmed off.

Fold line

Where the board or film folds. Keep text and logos about 3 mm away so they do not land on a crease.

Bleed

Extend background colours and images to this line so no white edge shows if the cut shifts.

Safe area

Keep text, barcodes and logos inside this line, usually 3 to 5 mm inside the cut.

Before you design

Body and lid

The body wrap stops just short of the top so the lid can seat, and the lid has its own narrow wrap. As with cans, keep text away from the seam and let the background run through it.

Design it in 3D instead

In Packaroo you drop your artwork onto this dieline, see it as a 3D pack you can spin, check bleed and safe area, then export a spec pack your supplier can quote from. Start on the free plan, then export a spec pack for A$15, or subscribe if you export often.
