Food tray template
A food tray is an open board tray with glued corners and no lid, for chips, nachos and sides. Packaroo has chips, snack, nachos and hot dog sizes, or set your own inside size.
Every design exports as a spec pack your printer can quote from: layered dieline, 3D renders, spec sheet and prepress report.

Standard sizes
Inside sizes in mm. Type your own in the editor. These are working sizes; confirm the exact spec with your supplier.
| Size | Board | Inside length | Inside width | Inside height |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hot dog | 400gsm | 180 mm | 60 mm | 40 mm |
| Snack | 350gsm | 120 mm | 90 mm | 35 mm |
| Chips | 400gsm | 150 mm | 90 mm | 45 mm |
| Nachos | 450gsm | 200 mm | 130 mm | 50 mm |
Start with 3 mm (1/8 in) bleed; your printer’s own spec wins.
How to read this dieline
The line types on this dieline, and what each one means.
The outside edge of the pack. Anything past this line is trimmed off.
Extend background colours and images to this line so no white edge shows if the cut shifts.
Keep text, barcodes and logos inside this line. 3 to 5 mm inside the cut is a common starting point.
Before you design
Print where it shows
With no lid, the outer walls and the inside are both on show. Food covers most of the base, so put the brand on the outer walls.
Board
The presets use 350 to 400 gsm artboard. Ask your supplier about a grease-resistant board for hot food.
